BrowserAct Data API makes browser agents a build-or-buy check

BrowserAct’s new natural-language Data API combines async tasks, webhooks, observability, and MCP-oriented integrations; Writer is also moving execution into Slack, where Playbooks can run from channels alongside CRM and productivity connectors. Together, these changes shift the evaluation from whether an agent can complete a task to whether it can be invoked in the systems your team already uses and monitored when it fails. MimikFlow’s new WhatsApp follow-up and reactivation workflows make the same distribution point in a customer-facing channel. Check webhook behavior, permissions, and conversation-context handoffs before putting any of these flows in production.

Agenticness Leaderboard

This week's most-clicked tools, re-ranked by rubric score. The score is the editorial signal; the popularity is what drew the directory's traffic here this week.

Claude Code is Anthropic's agentic coding tool that lives in your terminal. It understands your entire codebase, makes multi-file edits, runs commands, manages git workflows, and uses MCP for tool integration. Built with a Unix philosophy — it reads, plans, edits, and verifies in a loop. The fastest-growing product in the coding agent category.

GitHub Copilot helps you write, review, and adapt code directly in GitHub, your IDE, and the terminal. It supports everything from inline suggestions to agentic coding workflows with broader model choices and enterprise controls.

  • Cursor · 18/36 · Adaptive Collaborator · L2

Cursor is a developer-focused AI environment that adds agents, context, and automation around your repositories. It combines an editor-like interface, a CLI, and a cloud agent API to automate code review, bug fixing, CI hygiene, and more. Designed for individual developers and engineering teams who want AI to take real actions in their code and infrastructure, not just chat.

  • Cline · 18/36 · Adaptive Collaborator · L2

Cline is an AI coding assistant for VS Code that can inspect your project, edit files, run terminal commands, and use a browser while asking for permission at each step. It is aimed at developers working on real codebases who want more than code completion.

  • OpenHands · 18/36 · Adaptive Collaborator · L2

OpenHands (formerly OpenDevin) is a fully autonomous open-source AI coding agent. MIT-licensed core, plans + executes Python actions via CodeAct, uses browser + terminal + files. ~72% on SWE-bench Verified with Sonnet 4.5 via the OpenHands Software Agent SDK (arXiv:2511.03690).

Learn: Human-in-the-loop

Human-in-the-loop means the agent stops at a checkpoint and waits for your approval before doing something consequential. That pause costs a little speed, but it gives you control over actions that are hard to undo. A simple example: an agent drafts a customer refund email and prepares a $200 credit in the billing system, then asks you to approve it before sending or posting the credit. You review the amount, the wording, and whether the customer really qualifies. If it looks off, you edit or reject it. This pattern is common when the agent can act, but the decision still needs a human sign-off.

One tool worth testing

Kimi API Platform — Kimi API Platform is worth testing for long-horizon coding and deep-reasoning tasks that need large repository or document context. Kimi K3 is now the platform’s flagship model, with a stated 1M-token context window and 2.8 trillion parameters, making its context claim the relevant change to validate. In a 30-minute pilot, compare it with your current coding model on one repo-level task and measure context retention, completion quality, and latency.
