Autodesk Forma

Forma Site Design is a cloud-based planning and design tool from Autodesk for early-stage architecture, engineering, and construction work. It’s aimed at design teams that need to evaluate site context, iterate on massing concepts, and make more informed decisions before detailed modeling begins.

According to Autodesk, it combines AI-powered automations with environmental analysis and cloud collaboration through Forma Board. It works alongside tools such as Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Docs, Dynamo, and Rhino, and you access it through Autodesk’s web app.

This is most useful when your workflow starts with concept development and site analysis rather than detailed BIM authoring. The strongest value appears to be in reducing rework between early design and downstream tools like Revit, especially for teams that want to share visuals, metrics, and feedback early.

That said, the site content does not clearly explain which AI models power the product, how much automation happens without user input, or what data/privacy controls are available. Pricing is also not published on the page; Autodesk only notes that Forma Site Design is included in the AEC Collection at no extra cost to existing subscribers. If you need a fully autonomous agent or a local/offline tool, this is not that kind of product.
